In October, RMB and Ultra-trail Cape Town (UTCT) came together to fundraise for the RMB UTCT Trail Fund through an auction of ten photographic pieces captured over the ten years of RMB UTCT’s racing.
It was a special evening, one that showcased the enormous talent of the creative team through the years of RMB UTCT and one that highlighted the collective efforts to give back to the community through the efforts of the RMB UTCT Trail Fund.
Prints of exceptional photographs taken from RMB UTCT’s official media team, including Zac Zin, Nick Muzik, Kelvin Trautman, Jared Paisley and Sam Clark, were on display.
The highlight of the evening was the auction of the first edition of each print (1/10) of the ten photographs.
Over ZAR200,000 was raised, with the profit of the sales going to the RMB UTCT Trail Fund.
Thank you to RMB for hosting this incredible event in the beautiful setting on the rooftop at the Portside building in Cape Town, to the RMB UTCT partners for participating, and to each person who joined in to help us celebrate ten years of talent.
To continue the fundraising and as an opportunity to open up the gallery to the public, the remaining editions of the signed photographer prints are available for purchase.*
*Global shipping is included at an extra cost.
ABOUT THE RMB UTCT TRAIL FUND
The Trail Fund concentrates on two pillars:
THE ENVIRONMENT
The RMB UTCT environmental partners are Friends of Table Mountain, Sustainable Ceder, the Sugarbird Foundation and ITRA’s Green Programme. These are all dedicated to protect the natural environment, promote sustainable ways to make use of the trail network in South Africa, and to preserve the unique biodiversity in the Western Cape.
ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
With RMB’s support, the event contributes to developing trail running for disadvantaged communities. This is to foster the next group of elite runners and to expose talent from South Africa with the offer of entries, transport, and accommodation.
